Blood Knot
Blood Knot
Utilized for combining two lines, the Blood Knot is an attempted and genuine angling hitch and a most loved of fly anglers. The quality of the bunch is expanded by making no less than 5 and up to 7 wraps on each side of the bunch. It works best with lines of around meet distance across.
Cover finishes of lines to be joined. Curve one around the other making 5 turns. Bring label end back between the two lines.
Rehash with the opposite end, wrapping in inverse course a similar number of turns.
Gradually pull lines in inverse ways. Turns will wrap and accumulate. Clasp closes near the bunch.
