How to Secure your Hook on your Rod for Travel and Storage

Today's quick fishing tips and today's tip folks,  I want to talk about when you're done up  your day on the water and you want to pack up and go home what do you do with your jig your lure your hook and you know what folks you can cut it off and pack up your reel, or if you've got a little rod holder or a little hook holder on your rod, what you do is take advantage of that and hook your Jake hook your lure hook your hook your put your hook through that little holder and you can transport your rod home very safely.

However, if you do not have a little hook holder on your rod you can use a part of your eye and the reason I say a part of your eye is what you do not want to do, it's very convenient just to put your lure or your jig or your hook right in the eye of your rod and you don't want to do that because you run the risk of causing damage to your eye and if you cause a little nick or damage that eye your line will end up running in there your line will fray and break on you so you definitely want to avoid.

The other option is just to go inside the eye on the metal part of the eye and put your hook on the metal part of the eye your rod is fully protected you can transport home very safely and it will keep your fishing rod in good working condition for time and time.
